Cutest Hat... EVER! Bow Tie Cloche/Chemo Cap

Tah-Dah!

Design:  Bow Tie Cloche/Chemo Cap by "The Bell Sisters (Ding and Dong)"

Pattern link can be found HERE. (When I posted about this hat initially, the pattern was FREE.  Now the pattern is offered for sale and you can find it here):

Yarns used: Cascade Fixation in Hot Pink & Plymouth Yarn Jeannee DK in White.

Hat is bigger than I hoped but I'll be making this pattern again. Just need to tweak my knitting a bit.  Used size 2 and 3 circular needles.  Need to invest in a size 1 needle. Cascade Fixation yarn contains elastic and I struggled figuring out how loosely/how tightly to knit with it. I knit too loosely and used size 2 needles (when the pattern called for size 1).  This hat is a lot of knitting but so worth it. I can see me adding bows to other plainer hats in the future.

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

When I first posted about this hat, the pattern was offered by the designer free of charge. The pattern is no longer FREE. I corrected the link above so one can purchase the pattern if interested.

On the pink and white bow tie cloche hat, which is absolutely beautiful, what type of stitch did you use to make the top portion of this hat?

Thanks. I want to say the top portion of the hat is done in something called Horsetail lace but it's been a long time since I've knit this. I highly recommend you check out the pattern here. It's worth the purchase. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bow-tie-cloche--chemo-hat-beanie
